Lily Collins never fails to wow us with her impeccable fashion selections, both on and off-screen. Sunday was no different when she graced the 77th British Academy Film Awards red carpet, looking the epitome of glamour in a striking black velvet gown.

While she’s busy filming the fourth season of her hit Netflix series Emily in Paris, set in Rome, Lily Collins took some time off on Sunday to attend the BAFTA ceremony and showcase her distinct style that often blends timeless elegance with a subtle edginess.

The British-American actress eschewed Emily Cooper’s stylish French flair in favor of a glitzy, romantic black gown with dramatic sleeves that enhanced the traditional form-fitting silhouette.

Glamorous Gown Details

The To the Bone star looked captivating in the black stretch velvet gown by Australian-born fashion designer Tamara Ralph, known for her bold yet feminine designs.

Collins’ strapless gown, lavishly decorated with roses, perfectly embodied Ralph’s unique style. The Fall 2023 design had a daring V-neckline adorned with intricate silver rose vine motifs encrusted in crystals.

Its contrasting white puff sleeves, made of silk taffeta and gathered to resemble a bunch of flowers, added to the ensemble’s romantic feel. In contrast, the flattering fitted silhouette and modest floor-length hem added to the gown’s elegance.

Designer Spotlight: Tamara Ralph

Tamara Ralph was the creative director of Ralph & Russo, the upscale clothing brand she co-founded with her ex-fiance Michael Russo.

In addition to providing Lily with an effortless stride, the gown’s back slit showcased her Christian Louboutin “Marchavekel” platform sandals. Celebrity fans of these heels include Blake Lively, Dakota Fanning, Jessica Chastain, and Anne Hathaway.

The plush suede Marchavekel sandals have towering 6-inch stiletto heels, boosting Collins’ 5’5″ height by several inches. They’re attached to her ankles with a thin strap and feature thick platforms, a knotted vamp, and a peep toe.

Styling and Jewelry

Styling duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi put together Collins’ stunning BAFTA look. They let Collins’ gown speak for itself, styling it with Cartier‘s $48,700 Essential Lines diamond earrings in 18k white gold, each containing 43 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 6.64 carats.

These opulent earrings went well with her Cartier 18k White Gold Five-Row Diamond Eternity ring.

Her brown hair was styled in retro loose waves with a deep side part tucked behind her ears to showcase her sparkling diamond earrings. Her hazel eyes were highlighted by her fluttering eyelashes and subtle, smokey eye makeup with a hint of silver. A dab of rich burgundy lipstick completed her gorgeous glam.

Collins was at the ceremony to present the BAFTA for Best Special Visual Effects, which went to Simon Hughes for Poor Things.
