Lily James Is Radiant in a White Lafayette 148 Ribbed Sweater and Sweater Skirt
Lily James stars as Pam Adkisson, Kevin Von Erich’s wife, in the A24 film The Iron Claw. Before the highly anticipated movie’s theatrical release, Lily James embarked on a promotional tour in New York City on Monday.
The 34-year-old actress dazzled as she entered the Today Show studio. She donned a radiant white ensemble from Lafayette 148, an American fashion brand specializing in high-end, luxurious apparel designed for modern, sophisticated women.
Embodying the label’s signature flair, the Downton Abbey actress teamed a white ribbed sweater with its matching ribbed sweater skirt.

The “Sunburst” sweater, now on sale for $418.80 (from $698) at Nordstrom, features variegated ribbing that molds around the shape of the body, providing a flattering fit. This layering staple sweater is also designed with long sleeves and a modern funnel neck.
Defying the gloomy weather, Lily James dressed radiantly by pairing her white sweater with the Bicolor Mixed Rib sweater skirt, on sale at Nordstrom for $598.80 from $998. It boasts the same variegated ribbing that adds dimension to the skirt’s silhouette, complete with an easy elastic waist and midi hem.
Wrapping herself warm, she layered the luminous ensemble underneath the Lafayette 148 Convertible Trench Coat in khaki cotton twill. This innovative long coat can be worn as a cropped jacket thanks to its unique detachable lower panel.
Like classic trench coat designs, it has notched lapels, a removable tie belt, side seam pockets, and a back vent that allows easy stride.

Wearing her hair in a neat ponytail, Lily James showcased her multiple earrings and radiant beauty look.
She had soft pink makeup with mascara, eyeliner, and gorgeously thick eyebrows, highlighting her dark brown eyes. Outside the studio, she was seen sporting black cat-eye sunglasses by Australian eyewear label Oscar & Frank.
Tying her look together, the Cinderella star carried the $898 Nappa Leather Pochette from Lafayette 148. It was made in Italy from soft, Italian nappa leather in a minimalist camel color with a pure cashmere lining.
Carrying her day’s essentials, this supple clutch also came with a hinged frame and a detachable shoulder strap, making it a versatile day-to-evening purse.

Standing 5-foot-7, which is taller than the average woman, Lily boosted her frame further by slipping into a pair of Paris Texas “Anja” knee-high boots.
Now on sale for $588 (from $840) at Mytheresa, these boots are crafted in Italy from luxurious croc-embossed leather. They have a knee-high style and sharply pointed toes set atop a sturdy 4-inch block heel.
During her interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Lily James said she was thankful she didn’t have to wear the ‘80s tight-fitting spandex like her male co-stars did for the movie.
“He [Zac Efron] is phenomenal in this movie. That haircut! You know it’s so funny, before I met any of the boys—all the brothers are amazing—I went in for a costume fitting and I just saw rails and rails of, like, spandex and tiny pants. I was like, ‘Thank goodness it’s not for me.’”

Lily James Looks Stylish in a Sleek All-Black Winter Outfit
Lily was spotted outside the NBC studios that same day, shortly before her guest appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she discussed her new movie, The Iron Claw.
The Pride + Prejudice + Zombies actress switched up her look, trading in her all-white outfit for a sleek, all-black ensemble from luxury fashion house Hermes’ Fall 2023 collection.
Her Hermes winter coat boasted a deconstructed style, enveloping her body with plush cashmere rib-knit and luxe leather. It featured a thick rib-knit collar that could be worn as a scarf wrapped around the chest, but Lily James opted to drape it down the front. The opulent black leather coat also had oversized ribbed sleeves and zipper fastening down the center front.

Creating a seamless monochromatic look, Lily tucked a matching ribbed black sweater into a pair of straight-leg leather pants secured with a silver-buckled belt.
Wearing the Manolo Blahnik “BB” pumps in black suede gave her an inch or two more height boost. This all-time classic celebrity-favorite shoe, available for $725 at Mytheresa, was first introduced by the Spanish fashion designer in 2008.
They are expertly crafted by hand in Italy by skilled artisans and feature pointed toes and about 4-inch slender stiletto heels.

As she left the studio, Lily James seemed to be sporting the same gold hoop earrings. She also wore the same Oscar & Frank “Fujin” cat-eye sunnies and carried her necessities in the black “Movimento” bucket bag by Mansur Gavriel.
It’s a reimagined version of the label’s iconic bucket bag silhouette, complete with luxurious gold hardware and a tubular top handle that you can carry by hand or tucked into the crook of your elbow. It also has a drawstring top closure and an adjustable, removable crossbody strap for carrying options.
While the upscale shoe and bag company is headquartered in Los Angeles, its accessories, shoes, and bags are made by highly skilled Italian artisans.
Lily James’ brown hair was pulled into a sleek, center-parted ponytail with curled ends, while her face was minimally made-up with pink blush and lipstick.

What Is The Iron Claw Movie About?
The Iron Claw is an actual narrative of the life of the Von Erich brothers, who rose to fame and became legendary in professional wrestling during the early 1980s.
It chronicles the tragedies brought about by the apparent “curse” that befell the family as they gained notoriety in the wrestling world.
During the 1950s, patriarch Jack Adkisson made a name in wrestling as Fritz Von Erich (played by Holt McCallany). He invented the iron claw professional wrestling hold, which entails squeezing an opponent’s head, applying pressure to the temples, and holding on until the opponent taps out or loses consciousness.
He later grew in popularity, becoming a 3-time world champion and a record 20-time National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) United States Champion.

His sons, Kevin Von Erich (Zac Efron), David Von Erich (Harris Dickinson), Kerry Von Erich (Jeremy Allen White), Mike Von Erich (Stanley Simons), and Chris Von Erich, followed in his footsteps and became successful professional wrestlers. However, a series of personal tragedies befell the family.
Fritz and his wife Doris’ (Maura Tierney) firstborn son, Jack Jr., passed away at a young age in 1959. Then, in 1984, David died of acute enteritis. His fifth son, Mike, died three years later in an apparent suicide. This was followed by the suicide death of Chris in 1991 and Kerry in 1993. Kevin remains the only surviving son of Fritz Von Erich.
The Iron Claw synopsis reads, “The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who make history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.”
