Halle Berry, the iconic actress who made history as the first Black woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars, made a grand appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The 56-year-old actress looked nothing short of spectacular, flaunting her incredible physique in a black sheer mini dress from Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2023 collection.
Berry’s outfit was an actual work of art, featuring layers of sequin bows stitched around the bell-shaped structure of the dress. She wore a black bodysuit underneath her party outfit, showcasing Berry’s toned legs.

The intricate bowtie embellishments that added depth and texture to the dress made it a true standout. Berry’s sleeveless dress had a large bowtie in the middle of the chest, replicated on the sides and back, with two bows under each arm and a big bow in the middle of her back.
Lindsay Flores, her stylist for the evening, accessorized the after-party look with silver Niwaka jewelry and gold strappy heels from the luxury Italian shoe brand Casadei to add inches to her already impressive frame. Her makeup artists added delicate details, and her layered curls highlighted her edgy pixie cut.

At the 2023 Oscars, Berry and Jessica Chastain presented the Best Actress category, which the current Best Actor winner would have awarded.
However, Will Smith was prohibited from attending the Oscars for the next ten years after slapping presenter Chris Rock during the 2022 broadcast.

Chastain, who took home the Best Actress award last year for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye, was scheduled to give the Best Actor award this year.
Berry became the first Black woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars since 1929 when she won the prize for Monster’s Ball in 2002.
No other woman of color has won in the category in the 20 years since Berry’s historic victory. However, that changed after Michelle Yeoh won the prize, being the first Asian woman to do so.

Berry’s legendary Elie Saab dress from the 2002 ceremony when she won the Best Actress Oscar was recently inducted into the Academy Awards history and is now on exhibit at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Thank you @academymuseum!”
