The award made her tied with the late Michael Jackson with 24 wins each for the most American Music Awards. She later won several more awards, including Artist of the Year, making her total number of wins 30!

“This is amazing. That was a really tough category, wow. Thank you to the fans. I would love to have an opportunity to thank the people I made this album with because they’re amazing and we had so much fun,” the 29-year-old singer said.
