Taylor Swift cannot seem to catch a break. After being in the news last month for her somewhat heavy promotion of pride month including her controversial music video “Calm Down”, she’s in the headlines yet again for her online feud with talent executive Scooter Braun.
Here’s a quick recap of the ongoing dilemma.
Taylor is no stranger to drama and celebrity fights, so we know she’ll beat this like a champ. It was last month’s controversy, however, that was new for the pop star. It seemed like her only agenda in June was to support pride month.
Critics were quick to question her motives after the release of her latest video “Calm Down”. It started with an Instagram post on June 1, where she shared a long message about the Equality Act in the country.
The next day, the singer performed at Kiss FM iHeartRadio’s Wango Tango in head-to-toe rainbow colors, in obvious support for the LGBTQ+ community and Pride month.
She donned rainbow-colored micro-mini shorts and a yellow crop top under a rainbow-colored poncho. Even her Stella McCartney “Eclypse” sneakers ($526 at Farfetch) matched her colorful ensemble.

Crafted in Italy from the designer’s signature ethically-friendly faux leather, these chunky “Eclypse” sneakers adopt a multicolored palette. We can almost taste the rainbow. Featuring a ridged rubber sole, a pull tab at the rear, a lace-up front fastening and a round toe.
While no one can say for sure if her colorful social media feed meant to support pride month or just the release of her latest music video, we can certainly say that her footwear selection for the song definitely captivated audiences. Here’s a rundown of some of Taylor’s shoes for “Calm Down”.
1. Sophia Webster “Rosalind” Sandals, $326 at Shopbop
At the beginning of the video, we see the celeb wake from sleep in a pink satin robe from Agent Provocateur which she paired with pink tri-strap sandals from Sophia Webster.

Taylor quickly changed into a pastel pink Norma Kamali bikini set topped with a Vivetta Fux fur jacket finished with the sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti “Lavinia” platform sandals.

The metallic sandals stand on 5.5-inch block heels and 2-inch platforms and feature a subtle rainbow pattern – fit for the theme and message of the video. It’s a shame she dipped those gorgeous platforms in the water.
3. Irregular Choice “Daisy Dreams” Boots, $205 at Amazon
In the next scene, the “Love Story” crooner flaunted her legs in metallic Saint Laurent shorts and Irregular Choice My Little Pony themed boots.

4. Degratissimo Rainbow Platform Sandals, $1,095 at Nordstrom
As she sunbathes with her friends in yellow Solid & Striped swimwear, the pop star went for another rainbow-inspired pair this time from famed footwear designer Christian Louboutin. The “Degratissimo” open-toe platform sandal is poised on a 130mm heel.

The pair unites a gradient of colors to render a luminous shoe. Like curves of a cloud and assembled one by one, multi-colored Arc en Ciel veau velours et suede make up an architectural model that adjusts with a bracelet-like ankle strap.
We can’t really calm down after seeing that enviable collection of footwear. Can you?
