The Grammy-winning singer channeled Barbie in a Moschino Spring 2015 outfit styled with a long matching stole, a flowing blonde wig, a hot pink hairdryer bag, sunglasses, silver Stessy shoes from Aldo ($52.99 at Amazon), 6.73-carat Forevermark teardrop diamond earrings, and an 8.52-carat Forevermark two stone diamond ring.
The 30-year-old “Golden Hour” singer opened up about her transformation into Barbie at the 2019 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s annual benefit. She even arrived in Barbie’s pink dream car, namely a Chevy Corvette Z06 convertible.
Her stylist, Erica Cloud, told Glamour the look was inspired by all things playful. “Barbie is an iconic doll that reminds us of playing make-believe in our youth and that we are all young at heart,” she says.
“Barbie is the ultimate glam girl, and nothing says glamour like diamonds,” Erica Cloud continued. “I wanted to replicate the earrings that the Moschino Met Ball Barbie wears, and Forevermark had the perfect diamond drops! The ring is two pear-shaped diamonds that look like teardrops.”

“Dripping in diamonds is very decadent and going high-low with the accessories adds to the camp feel,” Cloud says. “It’s choosing the most beautiful diamonds, but also Aldo shoes and a plastic clutch.” The hot pink blowdryer purse was the perfect finishing touch—”it looks exactly like the toy accessory and is the perfect contrast to her Forevermark diamonds.”
