Last month, the Moschino brand showcased its Barbie-inspired Spring 2015 collection at Milan Fashion Week. This fresh offering is Jeremy Scott’s only second ready-to-wear collection for Moschino, but as expected, the designer executed another unforgettable show for the public.
Drawing inspiration from Barbie, one of Scott’s childhood toys, the models who walked the runway were dressed in full-on Barbie-inspired clothes. From the blond wavy hair to the pink lipstick, the show perfectly captured the spirit of America’s most popular plastic doll.
The collection includes frilly over-the-top dresses, which we are convinced should never be worn outside the house unless you’re going to a themed costume party. While the outfits were too bold and whimsical for the average person, the accessories definitely stole our hearts.
