Color us totally unsurprised. After cleaning out virtually every award show so far this year, Emma Stone finally brought home the major hardware: An Oscar. The actress received a nod of approval from the Academy for her work on “La La Land” as she received the “Best Actress” award at the 2017 Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
Emma arrived at the 2017 awards in a “La La Land” inspired flapper dress. The actress seemed calm and collected despite all the pressure she must have been feeling as the favorite of the evening.

Emma wore a custom haute couture Givenchy dress that reportedly took 1,700 hours to make. That’s roughly two and a half months without sleeping, eating or taking any break of any kind. The dress had a fully beaded bodice that swept out into soft fringe layers.
The “La La Land” star’s dress was Riccardo Tisci’s last Oscar creation before leaving his position as Givenchy’s creative director.
The actress finished her Oscar look with a pair of custom Givenchy satin sandals and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

A visibly emotional Emma kept her composure as she walked up to the stage to accept her award. The actress gave a shoutout to her “La La Land” co-star Ryan Gosling, hugging him after her name was called. Emma thanked Ryan for making her laugh and “for always raising the bar.”
Emma also reacted to the Best Picture mix-up. The actress tried to clear up the confusion by stating that she had been holding on to her “Best Actress” card when the wrong film title was called out, even though the mix-up between “La La Land” and “Moonlight” was due to the card.
