In June 2016, From Dusk Till Dawn actress Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas were busy preparing for their tour The Future Now Tour, which started on June 29, 2016, in Atlanta and ended on September 17, 2016, in Inglewood, California.

One year earlier, she made a guest appearance as a character named Maia on the ninth and tenth episodes of season 2 of the American horror television series From Dusk till Dawn: The Series.
Starring as the girlfriend of Carlos Madrigal (Wilmer Valderrama), Demi also had an uncredited appearance in episode eight of season 2.
American filmmaker Robert Anthony Rodriguez wrote the character specifically for Demi Lovato. He had waited for a chance to work with her since she auditioned for his 2003 American spy action comedy film Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over.

“I’ve always been a big fan of hers, and she’s on tour a lot, so when she’d come to set to visit, I threw out that we’d love to put her in somewhere,” The Faculty director said about Lovato.
“She was fantastic. She’s really got a great screen presence. If there’s time for her to come back in the series she can,” Rodriguez added about her performance. He also directed the music video for “Confident,” the second single from her fifth studio album of the same name.

Demi Lovato first appeared in “The Last Temptation of Richard Gecko,” the eighth episode of season two and the eighteenth episode of the series, which aired on October 13, 2015, when she was 23 years old.

Demi used to date Nick’s brother, Joe Jonas, and even though her relationship with her Camp Rock co-star didn’t work out, she remained close to the Jonas family.
“It’s probably the best timing for everybody,” Nick said about Demi‘s split with Wilmer Valderrama.
“I’ve built an amazing friendship with Wilmer over the years and I have so much love for him. Demi is one of my closest friends in the world so I’m here for her, and for both of them really.”

On an episode of The Late Night With Stephen Colbert that aired in June 2016, Demi and Nick showed off their friendship while discussing their shower habits.
Demi wore a black and burgundy dress with slashed skirt panels. Her dress was cinched at the waist with a black band.
She added a bit of height to her look with a pair of black Giuseppe Zanotti “Lavinia” platform sandals.

The singer had taken a particular liking to this pair of sandals, it seems. She was spotted wearing them quite often with several other outfits.
Nick posed for photos with Demi, wearing a black leather jacket over a black t-shirt and gray plaid pants. He opted for black lace-up combat-style boots.
Now, back to the showering thing. Stephen Colbert posed the question: Why do the two always seem to be bathing in videos and photos?
