Selena opened up about how she and Swift met in a 2017 interview with KIIS FM UK.
“We actually dated the Jonas Brothers together! It was hysterical,” Gomez told the hosts about dating the musician brothers.
“It was amazing because she was the girl with the big curly hair and all the bracelets and the cowboy boots. And I was definitely up-and-coming, and we just clicked,” she added. “It was the best thing we got out of those relationships.”
Gomez described their close relationship in a January 2020 interview with the Wall Street Journal. “She taught me a lot about how I should be treated at a young age.”
Selena made clear that the pair “don’t necessarily feel the need to post about everything” they do together, and for that reason, some parts of their friendship with rightfully remain out of the spotlight.
“She has showed up for me in ways that I would have never expected,” Selena said of her loyal friend Taylor.

“Flown in because I was hurt and was going through something. Stuff that was going on with my family. It’s been proven year after year and in every moment of my life that she is one of my best friends in the world. We don’t agree on everything, but we respect each other with everything.”
“I knew from when I met her I would always have her back,” Swift said in the same interview. “In my life, I have the ability to forgive people who have hurt me. But I don’t know if I can forgive someone who hurts her.”
On Saturday morning, Selena hit the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie Dolittle at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California.
