We don’t know what happened at Harper’s Bazaar ICONS event held at NY’s The Plaza Hotel on Wednesday evening. The party, thrown by fashion tastemaker Carine Roitfeld, should’ve been a gathering of the industry’s crème de la crème.
Instead? It became a battle for the title of “worst dressed this week!” It seems like Katy Perry was going for a vintage look, but she ended up looking more tacky than vintage.

She arrived sporting an old-fashioned wig with side-parted waves, and a sparkly gold Saint Laurent gown with a thigh-high slit.

She finished off her atrocious ’80s-style look with an awful pair of gold-and-leopard-print platform Saint Laurent sandals.
The only good thing we can say about her look is that at least she’s staying true to the matronly diva style that she seems to have adopted recently.

Anyway, we did mention this is a “worst dressed this week” competition — so who’s Katy’s opponent?
Rita Ora soon arrived wearing a horrible custom Prada sheer-paneled gown that looked like it was going for sexy baroque Morticia Addams.

The embellished bra top and sleeve cuffs we could get behind, but not the out-of-place blue velvet collar that sticks out like a sore thumb.

At least Rita’s lace-up Dsquared2 “Ayers” sandals were on point, just like in her last head-to-toe red Moschino ensemble.
