Alice Eve announced her engagement to her “high school sweetheart”, financier Alex Cowper-Smith, on August 14, 2014. They first met as teenagers while attending the Westminster School in London.

The couple married in a relatively low-key ceremony at Brompton Oratory, London, on New Year’s Eve in 2014. Unfortunately, they quickly grew apart due to her increasing fame and demanding schedule. They ended up separating and divorced in 2017.

Alice Eve Opens Up About Life After Divorce

Alice discussed her divorce from Alex Cowper-Smith in an interview with US Weekly.

“I think that after divorce, I took my life a little bit more seriously, because you have to face endings in a way that you maybe never — death in one thing, but an ending in your own chapter. It’s so clearly placed there for you with divorce,” the actress told the entertainment magazine at the 2018 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award Recipient event in June 2018.

“So after that, things that I thought were frivolous or dismissed, like, ‘My hair is my hair,’ I was like, ‘Let’s look at the hair. What should it be? I can choose it.’ So yeah, there’s a bit more choice and ownership after divorce, I think.”

“You look at relationships, friendships, things you spend your time on. In a way you want to be. I looked forward suddenly and was like, ‘Where do I want to be at 45? What do I want to have in my life or not have in my life?’” she added.

“Because actually, I know that life has its own twists and turns, but you can try and make some plans, and some of them do come to fruition.”

Alice Eve has made a name for herself not only as a talented actress but also as a style icon who isn’t afraid to take risks with her fashion choices. Whether walking the red carpet or making public appearances, her looks often spark conversation, blending high-end designer pieces with her unique flair.

However, not every fashion moment is a win. While she’s stunned in ensembles that highlight her sophisticated style, there have been instances where her daring choices have missed the mark. One such moment occurred during the Los Angeles premiere of Before We Go.

A Red-Carpet Miss: Alice Eve’s Marni Dress at the ‘Before We Go’ Premiere

In September 2015, Alice Eve continued to disappoint on the red carpet. A week after wearing a horrendous Stella McCartney dress at the Dirty Weekend screening, she failed us again.

The then-33-year-old actress wore an ill-fitting outfit at the Los Angeles premiere of her movie Before We Go, held at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood.

Alice wore a color-blocked Marni pre-fall 2015 dress that featured long sleeves and a bold mix of olive, black, and purple hues. While the dress aimed for a modern, artistic vibe, its oversized silhouette overwhelmed her slim figure, and the unconventional color combination failed to create a cohesive or flattering look.

Not only was the dress bad, but so was its styling.

Alice carried a heavily embellished black clutch and slipped her feet into vampy black pumps. Alone, both the pumps and clutch were attractive. However, they didn’t match the dress.

The actress finished her outfit with a messy hairstyle and smokey-eyed, pale-hued makeup.

At least Chris Evans — who made his directorial debut with this movie — looked dapper as he joined Alice on the red carpet. Standing at 6ft 0 (182.9 cm), Chris towered over Alice, who stands at 5ft 5 ½ (166.4 cm).

Alice Eve’s affinity for Jimmy Choo footwear is evident in her various red carpet appearances. Notably, she donned the ‘Kaylee’ sandals at the Porter Incredible Women Gala, pairing them with an embellished Carolina Herrera dress.

Additionally, during the ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Berlin photo call, Alice complemented her Reem Acra dress with Bionda Castana ankle boots, showcasing her versatile style
