After receiving backlash for deleting an Australia’s Next Top Model’s photo from her Instagram account, the queen of selfies seems to be doing image damage control by proving that she’s not all that selfish. Kim Kardashian came under fire after running a fashion blogger contest on Australia’s Next Top Model, promising to post the photo of the winner of the challenge on the Kardashian Kollection Instagram page as well as on her personal account, promising at least a whopping viewership of 35 million for the aspiring models. 12 hours after posting winner Izi Simundic’s photo on her personal account, the reality TV star deleted it, but left the one on Kardashian Kollection untouched. Some fans commented that this was very, err, Selfish (the title of her book at Amazon, in case you’ve been living under a rock) of Kim.
Despite the need to tighten security from her last book signing, the 34-year-old actually spent time allowing a few fans to take a photo with her before the event began. Kim was wearing a gorgeous asymmetrical black wraparound dress with a center slit, which she wore with nude heels and minimal jewelry. The mother-of-one kept her makeup simple and her hair just slightly wavy at the tips.

We’ve been trying to identify Kim’s shoes because of the gorgeous crisscross detail behind the ankle strap (unfortunately not visible in the photos) but we haven’t had much luck. In the meantime, check out our three alternative picks for the minimal footwear trend:

Manolo Blahnik ‘Chaos’ Ankle-Strap Sandals, $725
