Cate Blanchett had quite a busy day on Friday promoting her latest film, Disney’s live-action adaptation of Cinderella.
While attending a photo call and the premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, the 45-year-old actress, who plays the wicked stepmother in the film, was the epitome of fashion-forward elegance in two Givenchy ensembles.

For the photocall, Cate opted for a simple but chic ensemble from Givenchy’s Pre-Fall 2015 line. Consisting of a white blouse and a ruffled skirt, the look was perfected with black sandals, also from Givenchy.

From the front, the sandals seem average, but upon closer inspection, you’ll find gold pin heels and lizard-effect leather.

Later that evening, Cate attended the Cinderella premiere in a mesmerizing Givenchy gown.

She finished the bold look with a different, but equally seductive, pair of Givenchy sandals: the ultra-high “Clara.”

Although Cate looked stunning, something about the Givenchy sandals didn’t seem to be working out for her because she slipped them off while joining her co-stars on stage and spent the remainder of the event barefoot.
It is possible that her feet were aching after a long day of promo events, but perhaps she also wanted to pay homage to Cinderella’s famous glass slipper moment? If so, she found a clever way to promote the film!
