The life of a celebrity A-lister is filled with incredible star-studded events and glamourous red carpets.
While this lifestyle is one that most admire and wish for, there is always a downside to fame. When most people attend a friend’s birthday party, they most likely give very little thought to the outfit they throw together before heading out.

But if you’re living the life of the rich and famous and your ‘friend’ just happens to be supermodel Gigi Hadid and you’re none other than fashion icon, Blake Lively, you’ve got to give a little more thought to every outfit you wear.
Unfortunately for Lively, she did not meet the high standards the public expects of her when she was spotted on her way to Hadid’s 27th birthday bash.
Lively was photographed outside of the birthday party venue, wearing a fuchsia mini dress from Sergio Hudson. Available at The Webster, the dress itself was stunning and hugged every inch of Lively’s gorgeous frame.

She paired the plunging neckline dress with a pair of red Christian Louboutin Bois Dore pumps with a striking gold heel and a matching red Reissue clutch from Chanel. Lively finished the look with a pair of colorful dangling earrings and let her iconic blonde locks hang down.
Unfortunately for Lively, she received less than positive style reviews. While the dress was stunning and the color was the perfect vibrant shade for her skin tone and a spring outing, the accessories were all wrong.
Lively should have opted for a “less is more” approach and opted for a more classic pair of Louboutins vs. a bright red shade that distracted from the fuchsia dress that looked a bit too tight.

The gold heel on her Louboutins also did not complement any other piece of her look and the dangling earrings contradicted the elegance of the Chanel clutch.
Next time Lively wants to make a statement in a fuchsia dress, she’ll need to tone down her accessories and opt for gold tones to avoid clashing with such a bright shade. Don’t worry Blake…you’re still our favorite upper east sider.

In November 2011, blonde beauty Blake Lively was spotted in Burberry from head to toe when she appeared on The Nate Berkus Show with her sister, Lori Lynn Lively.
The outfit she wore for the guesting consisted of a bright blue skirt paired with a classic nude short sleeve sweater, which she then capped off with a pair of stunning woven heels.

Very simple but very stylish indeed. Also, you can already tell from a distance that those shoes are worth a second look.
Blake wore the red version of these Resort 2012 Burberry Prorsum ‘Greenwich’ woven raffia pumps.
Burberry Prorsum ‘Greenwich’ Woven Patent Pumps, $698
The pair is made up of raffia and leather woven together to create that two-tone effect. Heels of about 5 inches, platforms of about 1 inch thick (equivalent to 4-inch heels), and a glossy patent leather ankle strap are basically what you can expect from these shoes.
Right now, only the black/apricot (shown above) variant is available at Mytheresa.
There is also a T-strap version available. Which version do you prefer?
