Guadalupe Rodríguez, the mother of Jennifer Lopez and her two sisters Leslie and Lynda, joined J.Lo on stage at the Global Citizen VAX LIVE: The Concert To Reunite The World held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
They performed a rendition of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” which was originally released in May 1970 with the title “Sweet Caroline (Good Times Never Seemed So Good).”

“When I was thinking about what song to sing tonight, I remembered the song she used to sing to me as a baby,” J. Lo told the audience.
Due to the pandemic, last year they were not able to spend Christmas together for the first time ever.
“Mom, is it true you used to sing me this song when I was a baby?” the Maid in Manhattan actress asked her mom.

“When I used to rock you,” Guadalupe Rodríguez said when joining her daughter on stage, “I would say, ‘Sweet Jennifer.'”
“Let’s sing it like a lullaby, and let’s help her out,” Lopez suggested. “Sing it to me just like you used to sing it to me.”

Wearing a fringe Zuhair Murad Spring 2020 Couture outfit and House of Emmanuele Dynasty Daphne earrings for the performance with her mom, Lopez also performed some of her greatest hits.
A homemaker following her marriage to computer technician David Lopez, Guadalupe ‘Lupe’ Rodríguez was born on December 12, 1945, in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
In 2004, J. Lo’s mom won a $2.4 million slot machine jackpot at Atlantic City’s Borgata casino. She reportedly played for just 10 minutes and bet just $3.
“Everything I do with my mom is really fun,” Lopez told Entertainment Tonight about her mom in an interview. “Even though she drives me crazy, like all our moms drive us crazy.”

“I get all my dance moves from her,” the Out of Sight star revealed. “My mom is really the person who instilled the love of music in me and all of my sisters,” she added about their relationship.
“She was a young mom; she got married when she was 20,” Lopez said about Guadalupe Rodriguez. “She had my sister when she was 21. She had all of us by the time she was 26 so we all grew up together. It was like living with a teenager, to be honest.”
