Events like the 2010 MTV Movie Awards are usually a gold mine for fashion spots but this year, to quote the meme, “I am disappoint”.
The only real shoe standouts at the awards show held at Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday were probably Audrina Patridge’s and Anna Kendrick’s. But even then, the shoes they wore were nothing new and have already been spotted on other famous celebrities before.
Audrina Patridge wore Giuseppe Zanotti’s zip-cuffed jewel sandals for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards:

These sandals were first seen on Kim Kardashian who wore them for a photo shoot and for a night out in Australia. How do you like them compared to the Balmain rhinestone-encrusted sandals that Audrina wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards?

The American television personality, actress, and model also wore the same outfit do another event later in the day:

Anna Kendrick, on the other hand, wore the Gianvito Rossi ‘Organza’ ankle strap sandals. While sold out online, you can browse recent releases from Gianvito Rossi at Net-A-Porter and Farfetch.

Carey Mulligan was the first to wear these Gianvito Rossi sandals on the red carpet and interestingly enough, she also wore it with a dress in a similar color as Anna Kendrick’s.
It’d be easy enough to play “who wore it better” here in this post, but as beautiful as the sandals are, I was hoping to see more exciting shoes at the usually fun and edgy MTV Movie Awards. Oh well, there’s always the next red carpet event.
