The outstanding accomplishments in feature films, documentary, television, and commercials of 2022 were honored at the 75th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards (DGA) on Saturday at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
DGA’s top prize for feature filmmaking was handed out to Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert for their sci-fi adventure film “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” which stars Michelle Yeoh.

The Daniels bested legendary director Steven Spielberg, who directed his own semi-autobiographical story, The Fabelmans, six-time Oscar nominee Todd Field (Tar), blockbuster director Joseph Koniski (Top Gun Maverick), and Academy Award-winner Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin).
Along with the award-winning filmmakers, top celebrity guests were also in attendance at the event, dressed to the nines in their finest designer ensembles. Let’s have a closer look at each of their red-carpet outfits.
1. Michelle Williams in Celine
The 42-year-old actress looked incredible but fell short of expectations in a pale yellow gown by Celine.
It was an Old Hollywood-inspired strapless gown with a textured bodice, a wide V-shaped plunging neckline, a floor-sweeping hem, and a column skirt that featured an unflattering panel draped around her waist.

Styled by Kate Young, whose high-profile clients include Julianne Moore, Dakota Johnson, Margot Robbie, and Selena Gomez, to name a few, accessorized Williams’ ensemble with jewelry by Tiffany & Co.
She wore a tennis necklace with a few diamond rings and slid her feet into a pair of open-toe heels.

Michelle complemented her dress with her blonde hair, styled in a sophisticated bob by hairstylist Chris McMillan.
Makeup artist Angela Levin softened the actress’ features with mascara, pink lipstick, and blush, while nail artist Tom Bachik added a splash of red nail polish to her rather pale look.

Michelle Williams plays Mitzi Schildkraut-Fabelman – a fictional character based on Steven Spielberg’s mother Leah Adler – in the director’s biopic The Fabelmans.
She’s one of the contenders for Best Actress in the upcoming Academy Awards, set to take place on March 12.
2. Aubrey Plaza in Miu Miu
Unlike Michelle Williams, Aubrey Plaza wowed in a two-piece black outfit by Miu Miu.
Leaving little to the imagination, the 38-year-old comedian gave an eyeful of her decolletage and toned abs in a sleek bralette top with extra-thin spaghetti straps and a low-cut sweetheart neckline.
She paired her daring top with a matching maxi skirt, showing off her enviably toned pins via the dangerously high slit.

Stylist Jessica Paster created her minimalist but sultry look, teamed with Just Desi rings, gold hoop earrings, and matching gold bracelets.
A pair of black platform sandals gave her ensemble a streamlined finish. They’re made of satin and have thin ankle straps, wide toe straps, thick platforms, and heels about 4 inches high.

Plaza’s appearance was made more seductive by makeup artist Kathy Jeung, who applied heavy eyeliner, mascara, and delicate smokey eyeshadow to the actress’ features.
Her short brown hair was styled in side-swept retro curls by hairstylist Mark Townsend, and her nails were done by celebrity manicurist Jolene B. using CND plexi gel with Shellac Gala Girl nail polish.

Aubrey Plaza was at the awards show to support The White Lotus creator Mike White, who was up for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series. The gong later went to Bill Hader of HBO’s Barry.
3. Anna Kendrick in Monique Lhuillier
Opting for a dazzling entrance was Anna Kendrick, who chose a magenta mini dress from Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2023 collection.
Simple but chic, her tiny outfit was decked out in layers of magenta-colored sequins, finished with delicate shoulder straps and a cleavage-baring low-cut neckline.

Jordan Johnson Chung styled the Pitch Perfect star’s look with Irene Neuwirth purple crystal earrings and a blue stone ring.
Her black Giuseppe Zanotti heels were elegant, but they didn’t really go well with her pink sequined dress. They’re made of black satin and have pointed toes and angled straps embellished with crystals.

Hairstylist Craig Gangi styled Anna’s long brunette tresses in gorgeous waves that cascaded over her shoulder, while makeup artist Toby Fleischman complemented her ensemble with minimal makeup, including mascara and pink lip color.

4. Christina Ricci in Galvan
Bringing Morticia Addams to the red carpet, Christina Ricci hit the awards show in a black velvet Galvan dress with a single-sleeve silhouette with a knotted accent on the shoulder, a figure-hugging fit, and a floor-length hem.
Stylist Cristina Ehrlich added a little sparkle to Ricci’s sleek look with amethyst drop earrings, a diamond ring, and a black diamond bracelet by Martin Katz.

She then carried a black clutch and most likely completed her ensemble with black heels to match.
Celebrity makeup artist Allan Avendaño continued the dark glamour theme of Ricci’s look by giving her dramatic smokey eye-makeup with heavy mascara, eyeliner, and a pop of pink lipstick.
Hairstylist Stephen Beaver, meanwhile, pulled her black hair into a neat bun with her signature full bangs framing her face.
