While we love the strange and interesting personas some artists put up on stage to entertain us, we also want to see them in their normal clothes and hair. Here are three celebrities who won our hearts with their make-unders:
1. Lady Gaga’s Controversial Style Choices
Lady Gaga stepped into the limelight around 2008 and demanded attention. With her bold stage antics and often controversial style choices (like the infamous meat dress she wore during the 2010 MTV VMAs), Gaga has become one of the most bizarre artists of our generation.
However strange her looks are though, Gaga seems to have a deep reasoning for her artistry.

The Mother Monster has been cleaning up her act since last year.
Although we still see a few strange ensembles from time to time, Lady Gaga has been spotted numerous times looking gloriously glamorous in normal clothes and subtle hair and makeup.

Why the change? In a Vogue interview, Gaga said, “When I found a sense of inner peace, I began embracing the more glamorous side of myself,” and “I wouldn’t say that my fashion has changed as much as I’d say I’ve changed on the inside.”

2. Nicki Minaj and her Alter Ego, The Harajuku Barbie
Another artist who stormed the limelight with her shocking sense of style is Nicki Minaj.
The very candid artist developed an alter ego and called her “The Harajuku Barbie.” This persona rocks a coquettish version of Barbie, along with bleach-blonde hair and very pink lips.

Nicki finally dropped her Barbie obsession and started to let the public see the real her.

While the singer still creates very controversial songs and music videos, she now cleans up pretty well on the red carpet.

Nicki has gone back to her natural hair color and has toned down her makeup, allowing us to see her pretty facial features. She has also learned to cover up her curves when walking the red carpet.

3. Katy Perry’s Experimental Hair Color
Katy Perry may not be as outlandish as Gaga and Minaj, but she is definitely the most experimental regarding hair color. This girl has rocked green, pink, purple, and more, even before Kylie Jenner thought it was cool!

Katy’s edgy style streak comes and goes, but when she cleans up for glamorous events, she wows the crowd.

Frequently, she is a hit-and-miss on the red carpet because she still holds on to a little bit of edge when she dresses up. But although not everyone is a fan of her fashion choices, we love it when Katy gets it right.
