It’s that time of year again when we take a trip down memory lane to revisit some of Hollywood’s most cringe-worthy fashion moments.
As predictably as the changing seasons, even the most seasoned red carpet veterans occasionally stumble, often thanks to questionable stylistic choices and a dash of overconfidence. Without further ado, here are the 25 worst-dressed celebrities of 2015.
1. Kerry Washington’s Pink Prada Dress

We’re not quite sure if Kerry got the Chinese theme memo at the 2015 MET Gala. The actress wore a poofy pink Prada dress with awkward ribbons at the shoulder and a bubble butt that screams nothing about Asian culture.
Perhaps she mistook the theme for old American – throw on a powdered wig, and we’re getting somewhere.

2. Kim Kardashian’s Givenchy Maternity Outfit

Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci probably won’t have a career in maternity wear anytime soon for making Kim Kardashian believe she can pull off this molding-rouge-meets-bond-girl outfit.
Silver lining: One day, Saint West might just use this photo as the ultimate guilt trip card with his mom.

3. Beyoncé’s Sheer Overload

Did someone say glamazona? And by that, we literally mean a girl raised in the Amazon wilderness who stepped on the red carpet cluelessly for the first time.
Riccardo Tisci strikes out twice in our list by putting Beyoncé in this Givenchy Haute Couture dress — which, like Kerry’s selection, was not Chinese-inspired.
And could someone please explain to us the choice of hairstyle? It’s releasing Beyoncé’s inner cavewoman.

4. Keira Knightley’s Feather Dress
Okay, so this Chanel dress on Keira Knightley isn’t so bad, but when talking about the Golden Globes red carpet, you’ll need something much more potent than a frilly, feather-print dress.

We understand the romanticism in this look — plus the assumption that Keira was probably looking for modest maternity wear — but this falls flat on the fierce Golden Globes red carpet.
5. Madonna’s Burlesque Outfit

Bring out the bulls! Madonna brings her matador A-game to the Grammys in this Givenchy number. Riccardo Tisci, that’s a strike three. Not in the picture: Madonna’s hefty butt cheek show.

6. Claire Danes’ Valentino Dress
There’s a time and place for everything, and Claire Danes’ Valentino dress was sadly misguided at the Golden Globes.

It feels like we’re looking at the sad, scrawny kid in a cafeteria full of cheerleaders and jocks sitting all by himself at the corner lunch table.
7. Iggy Azalea’s Bird Nest

Ah, the hair that launched a thousand memes. Iggy Azalea has made meme history in this Armani Prive dress, thanks to her bird nest hairstyle.
The dress is pretty blah, but she could have saved herself from landing a spot on this list if she had opted for a more classic hairstyle.

8. Kylie Jenner’s Leather Dress

Kylie Jenner has been at the forefront of this year’s best dressed lists, but for a very minute reason, this Bryan Hearns look falls on our worst dressed list.

Sure, the fit is fantastic, and Kylie looks incredible, but would you really want to channel Xena, the Warrior Princess, on the red carpet of the AMAs?
9. Kate Mara’s Ugly Belt
Kate Mara, one of 2015’s rising stars, apparently still has much to learn on the red carpet.

It takes a lot of practice and an expensive glam team to wear a red gown on the red carpet, and although this Miu Miu dress isn’t all that bad, we have to ask: What is up with that tacky belt?
10. Selena Gomez’s Sexy Leather Dress
Selena Gomez opted for a sexy look, sporting a floor-length black leather dress that was a departure from her usual cute and innocent style (Credit: WENN)
Oh, Selena, how could you do this to us? After slaying one red carpet after another, you pull this biker-chick-couture-meets-trucker-woman look on us.

Why didn’t anyone from Louis Vuitton slap her in the face before she left the building?
11. Jennifer Lopez’s Fisherwoman Outfit
Jennifer Lopez wore a super-short, figure-hugging bodycon dress that left very little to the imagination (Credit: WENN)
It looked like Jennifer Lopez had been rolling around in fishing nets before arriving at the Tom Ford event.

She went the glamorous fisherwoman route by wrapping herself in nets and peppering the look with crystals. Is this for a livelihood awareness campaign?
12. Lady Gaga’s Red Gloves

Rejoice, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We’ve got a brand new addition coming your way!
Lady Gaga just couldn’t leave her beloved rubber gloves in the kitchen sink as she graced the Oscars in a custom Alaïa dress. Now, where is that headpiece made of dishes and detergent?

13. Kris Jenner’s Atrocious Chanel Outfit
We’ve got another fisherwoman on the loose, and this time, she has been roaming the streets of Paris. Kris Jenner graced the Chanel runway show during Paris Fashion Week in an atrociously put-together Chanel outfit.

The momager looks one part Kim Kardashian, one part Karl Lagerfeld, and two parts what-in-the-world-was-I-thinking.
14. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Baby Pink Dress
Gwyneth Paltrow graced the red carpet in a one-shouldered blush pink gown from Ralph & Russo’s Spring 2015 Couture collection, complete with an oversized rose detail on the shoulder (Credit: WENN)
We love Gwyneth Paltrow’s affinity for romantic pastels, but this Ralph & Russo baby pink Oscar dress didn’t cut it for us.

The shoulder flower accent makes the dress look exactly like what Mother Nature would wear if she were a person. The dress itself has a beautiful fit on Gwyneth, though.
15. Solange Knowles’ Oyster Dress

Help! Solange Knowles is being gobbled up by a giant oyster! Oh, no, wait. That’s just her Giles Deacon dress.

16. Christina Aguilera’s Dated Sweater

Sometimes we think Christina Aguilera hasn’t quite left her “Genie in a Bottle” days. By that, we mean the year 1999.
Why does her Sacha Pytka sweater look so dated, and how dare she wear it over an Alexander McQueen dress to produce a white-bra-dilemma look? The designer must be turning in his grave right now.

17. Gwen Stefani’s Halloween Outfit
Gwen Stefani donned a black Yousef Al-Jasmi sheer dress with a thick choker, which left many wondering if the style risk was worth it (Credit: WENN)
Words fail us. The normally put-together Gwen Stefani finally had a breakdown that even her divorce with Gavin Rossdale never allowed her to have.
This Yousef Al-Jasmi dress on the pale-faced, platinum-blonde beauty just screams slutty Halloween costume to us.

Oh, and Gwen, tell your assistant that no amount of train fixing can save you from this wreck of an outfit.
18. Miley Cyrus’ Trashy Versace Look

Miley Cyrus will be Miley Cyrus, which is why we didn’t know it was possible for the singer to break her record of all-time outfit lows.

While her House of Holland “Do It” outfit may have been a bit more forgivable, her Versace chandelier look was not.

Also, we’re not sure we’re more pained at Miley’s outfits or the fact that Versace had something to do with it.
19. Heidi Klum’s Sesame Street Lingerie
Heidi Klum’s lingerie dress bore a striking resemblance to Sesame Street’s Big Bird (Credit: WENN)
If Big Bird of “Sesame Street” released a lingerie line, this Versace dress would be a great contender for his first collection.

We’re not sure what Heidi Klum was gunning for in this half-dressed look – it’s as if she couldn’t decide between two dresses and put both in one look instead.
20. Lena Dunham’s Red Disaster
Lena Dunham in a tonal red Zac Posen Spring 2015 satin gown with a draped back and high-low hemline at the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on January 11, 2015 (Credit: WENN)
One can rarely go wrong with Zac Posen, but Lena Dunham loves being a part of the minority. The actress got annoyed at Zac’s signature poofy skirts and cut it all off.
Also, does her stylist not have a steam press? They love putting this girl on the worst dressed list too much.
21. Alanis Morisette’s Sea Lion Dress
If Alanis Morisette were an animal, what would she be? That’s right, a pregnant mommy sea lion! Mean comments aside, even if she did bring the house down at the AMAs, her red carpet look just let us down.

And don’t get us started on those horrendous suede mustard things peeking out from under her skirt hem.
22. Rihanna’s Pink Tulle Gown
Rihanna kept her makeup look simple and natural, opting for a nude lip and a sleek ballet bun (Credit: WENN)
Breaking news: children claim Rihanna arrived at the Grammys on top of a pink Snuffaluffagus.

After making us wait for a Grammy reappearance, this is the thanks we get? Rihanna made fashionistas worldwide sad with her Giambattista Valli Haute Couture choice, which she wore fresh off the Paris runway.
23. Jaime King’s Pregnant Teen Outfit

We’re getting major “Juno” vibes with this look – Jame King arrived in a Burberry look that screams “runaway pregnant teen” all over.

We kind of understand where she was trying to go with this look (that trademark earthy Burberry London charm), but sadly, she didn’t arrive at her destination.
24. Tina Fey’s Tulip-Shaped Skirt

We adore Tina Fey, but our affection wavered when she stepped onto the Golden Globes red carpet, which looked like she was wrapped in an embellished black-and-white egg. Antonio Berardi, what was your team thinking?
25. Sarah Jessica Parker’s Crazy Hat

Perhaps our favorite love-to-hate look of the year: Sarah Jessica Parker’s MET Gala look.
We understand that her H&M x Sarah Jessica Parker dress was for a great cause, but that hat—oh, that Philip Treacy hat. It’s what you’d get if “Sex and the City” did a crossover with “Dragon Ball Z.” Super Saiyan SJP, anyone?
