On Sunday, June 16, numerous stars gathered to celebrate Broadway’s biggest night at the 77th Annual Tony Awards, hosted at the esteemed David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
The event, emceed by Ariana DeBose, honored Broadway productions and the best plays, musicals, and performers of the 2023–2024 season.

This year’s notable guests included Ashley Park, Danai Gurira, Sarah Paulson, Brooke Shields, Alicia Keys, Daniel Radcliffe, Idina Menzel, Angelina Jolie, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Rachel McAdams.

The 2024 Tony Award ceremony wasn’t short of dazzling red-carpet moments, and Taraji P. Henson was one of the stars who stole the show. As a presenter, she arrived in a show-stopping Oscar de la Renta gown that captivated me completely.

I’m a sucker for anything sparkly and glamorous, so the 53-year-old wealthy American actress’s ensemble instantly has me hooked. It feels like a modern take on a classic evening gown, and I love how it played with the light.
The dazzling gold dress from Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2025 collection is both futuristic and elegantly timeless – a perfect combination for an awards night.

Her outfit featured a sculpted bodice and slim column silhouette that hugged her curves beautifully, and the strapless neckline added a touch of sophistication.
What truly elevates the look for me is the intricate detailing. The high-shine fabric shimmered under the lights, and the sequined scallop embroidery, shifting from silver to gold, created a captivating visual effect.
A Vision in Gold with Shiny Pumps and Sparkling Accessories
Taraji P. Henson didn’t just walk the red carpet at the awards ceremony; she owned it. Her entire look, from the dress down to meticulously chosen accessories, oozed glamour and sophistication.
The Oscar de la Renta gown cascaded to the floor in a dramatic maxi hem, leaving most of her shoes a delightful mystery. But then, the dress surprised us with a daring back slit, offering a glimpse of her legs and hinting at the fabulous footwear choice beneath.
Regarding footwear, I love how Taraji’s stylist, Wayman + Micah, whose impressive clientele includes Tessa Thompson, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Olivia Munn, paired the dress with metallic gold Roger Vivier pumps.

The mirrored gold uppers shimmered perfectly alongside the gown, and the pointed toes and stiletto heels infused a touch of edge and height.
I have to say, the accessorizing is equally on point, where she opted for sparkling Reza jewelry. While the Abbott Elementary star kept her neckline bare, opting not to wear a necklace, she added a touch of sparkle with a pair of delicate gold stud earrings.
But the real stars of the show were the matching silver and gold rings, which mirrored the color shift of the dress and perfectly complemented her long, bedazzled nails.

Staying true to the sparkle theme, Taraji carried a stunning silver Oscar de la Renta Alibi Cube crystal-embellished bag, which added another layer of glitz without overwhelming the outfit. The black version is available at Farfetch for $3,990.
Her glam team knew what they were doing. They went for a soft, balletcore-inspired look that’s all the rage in Hollywood. The makeup was nude, with a hint of pink for a youthful glow, featuring thick black eyebrows, bronzey eyeshadow, and shimmering nude lipstick.
