Although I most certainly don’t dress like this for work, I am definitely taking notes.
Considering the continuous rumors surrounding her marriage with Ben Affleck, I commend Jennifer Lopez for always putting up a brave front. On her June 29 Los Angeles outing with her daughter Emme, the multihyphenate looked fantastic in black-and-white—a color combination she has favored over the years.
Never one to step out in drab clothing, the 54-year-old actress showcased her exquisite sense of style by giving a classic black-and-white ensemble a contemporary, feminine twist.

Power Dressing 101: J.Lo Elevates Classic Office Wear
Looking like she was heading to a business meeting, J.Lo elevated power dressing to a new level, wearing a Christian Dior outfit consisting of a white blouse and black pinstripe pants.
I’ve always adored this color combo; it emanates power and timelessness, which may refine an ensemble. Not to mention, it’s highly versatile and goes well with every other color.
J.Lo’s blouse isn’t your typical white button-down shirt. First of all, it is Dior, and it boasts stylish short puff sleeves accented with the luxury French fashion house’s iconic Tribales cufflinks. The cufflinks showcase a resin pearl embellished with the CD signature—a nod to the iconic house’s earrings.

The house’s contrasting embroidered black bee, which adds a fun twist to the otherwise simple white shirt, is another intriguing Dior element featured on the blouse. It’s placed near the waist, right above her belted pants. Completing its design are the mother-of-pearl buttons bearing the Christian Dior Paris signature.
The Maid in Manhattan star tucked the partially unbuttoned crisp white blouse into high-waisted black pinstripe pants with inverted box pleats, highlighting her hips. The pants gently flared at the thighs and tapered at the ankles, creating a barrel-leg silhouette.
I try not to wear barrel-leg pants because I think they’re unflattering and make me appear short, but J.Lo, who is just 5’4”, the average height for an American woman, looks beautiful in them. This, in my opinion, is partly due to the skinny black belt that tightens her waist, the cuffed hem, and the pleats that form an elongating vertical line.

Signature Bold Accessories
Without her signature statement accessories—huge earrings, chunky rings, and sunglasses, for example—this style wouldn’t be J.Lo.
Staying true to her signature aesthetic, the This Is Me… Now star added some flair to her business wear with the lightweight 2” Thread Hoops by Jennifer Fisher. They’re yellow gold with 14k gold posts, matching the buckle on her belt and bag—a black Crocodile Hermes Birkin.
She skipped wearing necklaces or bracelets and finished her accessories with James Oro’s Black Hunnids square-framed acetate sunglasses with gold-tone metal stainless steel hinges.
She wore her honey-colored tresses in a center-parted low bun with a claw clip and loose curtain bangs framing her face. Subtle makeup, including her signature bronzed blush and pink lipstick, accentuated her attractive features.

Strappy Ballet Flats for Office Wear
I was taken aback when J.Lo appeared in ballerina flats for the outing because she usually wears heels or sneakers, even when she’s out and about with her kids. However, I must admit that I adore the way these flats look with her ensemble.
The Atlas actress chose the “D-Joy” Ballet Flats from Dior’s Summer 2024 collection. They are made of black satin and feature the brand’s signature square toes, elegantly accentuated with a bow and a white CD resin pearl.
These lovely flats are fastened to the ankles with the removable grosgrain straps, showcasing the C and D initials. Interestingly, these shoes are versatile enough to be worn as mules with foldable soft-heel counters.

Ben Affleck Moves Out of $60 Million Mansion
Lopez’s recent outing came on the heels of a report that her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, had quietly moved his things out of their $60 million marital home while she was on a European vacation.
The couple, who wed in July 2022, bought the 38,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion in May 2023. But early last month, Daily Mail broke the news that the two had listed their home on the market.
The two haven’t been spotted in months. They were house hunting in March when we last saw them looking adorable together.

Affleck is apparently paying $100,000 a month for a rental home in Brentwood near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, while Lopez is still living in the Beverly Hills estate.
Affleck and Garner have been seen together frequently in recent times. Additionally, Affleck is often spotted dropping off their son Samuel at school.
