I’ve always appreciated Charlize Theron’s sense of style, which often leans toward sophisticated silhouettes with an air of timelessness. Her sense of refinement is admirable, but I have to admit there are moments when I get tired of seeing her in outfits that include blazers.

For the Africa Outreach Project 2024 Party, however, Theron completely mesmerized me with her shirtless blazer ensemble. I wasn’t surprised she was wearing Christian Dior, having been an ambassador for the brand’s J’adore fragrance since 2004 and, more recently, its skincare and jewelry lines.

CTAOP 2024 Block Party: Celebrating Twisters

Charlize Theron founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) in 2007 and hosted the foundation’s 4th annual Block Party on the Universal Backlot Saturday night.

This year’s celebration, which raised over $1 million, commemorated the release of Twisters, whose actors moved Theron to tears with their support for her foundation. It funds community-based programs, helps build communities, and addresses health and gender inequalities.

Shirtless Blazer Trend with Shimmering Skirt

Of course, Theron’s glamorous ensemble included a boxy blazer from Dior, left undone and layered over nothing but a tiny black bra that gave onlookers a glimpse of her cleavage and flat abs. It had an oversized contemporary look, and the sleeves were rolled up to her elbows for a casual feel.

Though it’s just another blazer outfit from Theron, I loved how the dazzling midi skirt from the luxury French fashion house’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection added an interesting touch to the business wear. It rests over her natural waist and ends at her ankles. The exquisite number features a gradient of dark to light sequin, beaded crystal decorations, and a sheer fabric at the hemline.

The pairing may seem unusual, but it perfectly captures Theron’s penchant for injecting a bold statement piece into an otherwise classic outfit.

Classic, Feminine J’Adior Pumps

I wasn’t surprised by her choice of heels, either. The School for Good and Evil star opted for the iconic J’adior slingbacks, perfectly illustrating Dior’s signature ultra-feminine aesthetic. Crafted in the fashion house’s Italian ateliers, these black technical fabric pumps have a two-tone embroidered J’Adior flat ribbon at the side.

These slingback pumps, retailing for $1,050, highlight Theron’s remarkable 5’9” height with their 2.5-inch comma heels.

Signature Edgy Glam and Accessories

Theron’s look was put together by Leslie Fremar, who frequently works with celebrities like Jennifer Connelly, Nicola Peltz, Julianne Moore, and Lea Seydoux. The Monster actress added her signature edge to the sultry businesswear with mismatched earrings clearly visible from her ears as she brushed her short hair in a sleek side-parted updo.

Theron had a tiny hoop on her right ear and a double stud with chain earring on her left. She also adorned her light-blue-manicured hands with a few rings, including one with a star and moon motif.

When it came to her glam, Charlize opted for understated, delicate pink makeup to accentuate her remarkable features. She applied a rosy blush on her cheeks and smeared pink lipstick on her lips.

Charlize Theron’s Daughter August

August, Theron’s youngest daughter, who she adopted in July 2015, went with her.

She was dressed like her mom, donning a blazer dress with a blue shirt underneath. Giving the look some youthful flair, she paired it with black Converse high-top sneakers and frilly socks.

August also accompanied Charlize to the Dior Fall 2024 fashion show in New York City last April. The lovely little girl wore a blue varsity jacket over a white mini-dress. She accessorized her stylish look with Dior rubber shoes in white and gray and white knit embroidered high socks.
